Howdy folks! Emo here with the latest news that is Soulfire Salvage.
With Tuesday’s defeat of Arrapago Remnants’ very own Archaic Chariot netting our local hero Himay a shiny new pair of Hikazu Hakama we decided to test our luck in Silver Sea Remnants to see if we could match these pants up with one of its sister pieces.
All started off well, the magic cell dropped pretty early as well as abilities so we were hoping for a smooth run. However, being the hero he is, Himay soon found himself face first on the ground after taking too many ranged attacks to the head. Our secondary mnk/tank, Raelz, found himself in the same position after the Ashu Talif Crew member turned its attention to him. No worries though because us non-mnk melee took it down once the initial blood had been spilled.
Unfortunately because both of our mnks had died we lost quite a bit of time waiting for weakness to wear. Things began to look grim but we kept forging ahead throwing countless punches and kicks at any enemies that stood in our way, as well as a few Asuran Fists to make sure they weren’t getting back up.
Eventually we found our way to the room we were looking for and began to clear it out so our target NM would pop. We were lucky enough this time to have a friendly local imp kill Jarvis in the process which would ensure that our drop-rate would be quite high! Thank you local imp, we do salute you for your actions even though we had to kill you. /salute
With the room cleared and the elusive Powderkeg Yanadahn prowling the halls we decided to spend some time raiding chests to see if we could find any useful items to aid us in taking her down and stealing her pants! Our local puppeteer Edwin and his trusty sidekick Tsukushi had different plans though as they ran right into the not-so-loving arms of Ms. Powderkeg!
Our battle started early but we were able to take her down with relative ease and with the treasure hunter +80 that is Jarvis death not only did she drop the pants we were seeking but she surprised us by showing she was actually wearing two pairs!
Congratulations Himay and Avhienda on obtaining these items, making them 2/3 for these sets! With two pairs of pants in hands and an additional spring in our step we decided to see if we could pop the Gyroscopic Gears before time ran out. So once again with a lot of punching and kicking and now some Dazes, Dancing Edges and Vorpal Blades (oh my!) we were able to destroy all of it’s place holders as well as kill the gears with only minutes to spare!
